Welcome to the HR Department. Please Hold Your Applause.

You're the newly appointed HR manager, and your mission is simple: review incoming CVs and hire the best candidate for the job. Sadly, a perfect match isn't always on the table. Budget cuts, you understand.

How It Works

Each day starts with an email announcing the open position. Review the applicants' CVs, run a background check to weed out the nefarious, and make your hiring decisions. Later, your Boss will report on how your new hire is performing (spoiler: probably not great).

Hire well and the company prospers, upgrading your office. Hire poorly and losses mount, forcing a downgrade. Will your decisions make the company prosper or perish?

Controls

Mostly point and click:

  • Double-click a CV to view the applicant's details
  • Click a stamp, then click a CV to approve or deny the applicant
  • Click the computer to access settings, email, or the browser
  • TAB exits the computer and returns you to your desk
  • Click the fax machine to submit your decisions
  • Hold Right mouse to look around your cubicle

At the end, the company will let you know how your decisions turned out. No pressure.

If the web version of the game launches with blank screen. Go it fullscreen. It will then be formatted properly. You can then stay in fullscreen or minimize to windowed again! The tech department is on their day off so we must make do!

Have fun! But not too much fun. This is a workplace.

I truly feel like a cog in the corporate machine, how unsettling yet satisfying.

I really like the Physics mechanics. The dragging of the stamps is fun I feel like I am actively denying employment its awesome. Also love the old computer aesthetic for the UI.

Thanks! We really wanted to give off that authentic 'corporate dehumanization' vibe.
